Sali•Chek™ Reader
Sali•Chek™ is a hand-held reading device that provides electronic readout and hard-copy printout of results generated from specially-designed immunochromatographic (ICT) test strips. Sali•Chek™ incorporates a Pocket-PC with photographic and long-term data storage capabilities. The device may be battery operated for field use and is highly portable. Sali•Chek™ will be sold with an optional micro-scale printing device linked to the reader in wireless fashion.
The reader will accept standardized saliva ICT strips in the VerOFy® or VerOFy® II formats including VerOFy® II DOA for the screening and detection of up to six drugs of abuse from saliva including as an example Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cocaine (COC), Methamphetamine (METH), Amphetamine (AMP), Opiates (OPI) and Phencyclidine (PCP).
Eventually, the menu of available tests will be expanded to incorporate other salivary diagnostic tests including infectious diseases, therapeutic drugs, bacteria, environmental toxins and agents of bioterror.
